The Hospital Project

Our new project for 2014-2015 is to support the transformation of a hospital in a busy town outside of the capital, Maputo. The hospital, which has up to 1,500 patients walk through its doors every day, is in desperate need of new facilities, equipment and medical supplies.

Here's a list of the hospital's main issues, and what we propose to do about it...

The Hospital...

Project Moz...

Has one working toilet for outpatiets and no working sewage system.

Want to build a new toilet block and draining system.

Has no enclosed waiting room for TB patients, meaning others are at risk of infection.

Want to build an enclosed, ventilated TB waiting room, to keep staff and other patients safe.

Has full rubbish tanks and no way of disposing of hazardous waste.

Want to clear the tanks so that they can be used safely again.

Has unsanitary kitchen facilities, medical equipment and supplies within the maternity ward.

Want to install a new kitchen and provide the maternity ward with new equipment and vital medical supplies.

This is a short video about the hospital project, animated by Mike Wyatt at 'Attack Animation'.  If you would like to sponsor this project, please read the details below.
