The Hospital Project

In 2014, Project Moz supported the transformation of hospital toilet facilities in a busy town outside of the capital, Maputo. The hospital, which had up to 1,500 patients walk through its doors every day, was in desperate need of new facilities, equipment and medical supplies. When the project begun, there was just one single working toilet for outpatients.

This is a short video about the hospital project, animated by Mike Wyatt at 'Attack Animation'.

What we've done...

What happened next...

Over the course of 18 months, we raised £12,000 in order to facilitate the build of a brand new toilet block. This ensured clean, working toilet facilities were available for all outpatients visiting the hospital, reducing the risk of unsanitary conditions being a risk to health.

Six months later, government funding became available to the hospital, which allowed them to also receive new medical equipment and supplies. Due to this ongoing financial support, the hospital was able to continue to improve and function well without further support from Project Moz.
