Ricardo arrived at the babyhouse in July 2006. His mother had died of AIDS and his grandmother was too poor to be able to care for him- she had to feed him rice water as she was unable to buy formula. She brought Ricardo to All Nations and asked them to look after him. When Ricardo arrived he was tiny for his age, fitting into newborn clothes.
Ricardo is now a happy, healthy little boy. He is a talkative, friendly child, and loves playing with all the older children in the babyhouse. When he’s taken on outings, he loves eating chips and drinking coca cola- the bubbles make him cover his mouth with his hand and giggle! The other thing he loves about being taken out is getting to wear his best clothes; he will proudly show off his corduroy trousers and grown-up shoes to everyone around him!
At home, he will join in with the mischievous boys when it comes to trying to avoid bedtime and trying to get extra food. In church, he will sing along and clap his hands.
