This event is always a popular choice for a family afternoon out. Project Moz had a stall at the event, selling Mozambican jewellery, cakes and pick'n'mix. We also held a raffle, offering prizes donated from local businesses
The weather was beautiful and the fete a great success, providing us with lots of chances to tell people about Project Moz. We also raised £150 to go towards the 'Casa Gemma' house build project.

Project Moz held its biggest fundraiser to date on Saturday the 14th of August. The dinner dance, held at Pembury Village Hall, included a delicious three course meal cooked by chef Craig Milnes, fantastic live music courtesy of local band ‘Spin’ and a silent auction with thirty items, all kindly donated by local businesses and friends. It was all in aid of our ‘Casa Gemma’ project, in which we are raising funds to build a home for some of the children we support, who are currently living in rented accommodation. To find out more about the project click here or look at the casa Gemma section on the projects page.
The evening was a great success, with fun had by all and guests complimenting the Project Moz team on what a great night it was. It also provided us with a fantastic start to the Casa Gemma fund.
We would also like to say a massive thank you to everyone who attended for your outstanding generosity and support; you really have helped to make a difference.
Don’t worry if you missed out on this brilliant evening this time, as it looks set to become an annual event.
£4,275
On Saturday 2nd April Project Moz hosted a Swing Night for 130 guests in Pembury, with entertainment from The Swinging Little Big Band. The event offered live music throughout, canapes and a professional cocktail bar, with a raffle with many big prizes.
The event offered us the opportunity to tell more people about what we do and about the Casa Gemma project that their financial support was contributing to.
Project Moz would like to say thanks to the band, chef and all the voluntary staff who made the evening possible, and of course a huge thank you to all of our lovely supporters who came along to enjoy the evening!
As well as publicity, the event raised almost £3,500 which will go towards the build of the Casa Gemma house for the All Nations orphanage, which is due to start in July 2011.
