Helping to make a world of difference

Paito has lived on the streets since 2007. He has no desire to live with his father. Paito now lives with at the Kunhymela House, in Maputo. They are working with him to start thinking about his future as well as reconnect with his family. Paito stays at this house Sunday to Thursday and with his father at the weekends. Beginning in January 2011, he will go to school in the city near the house. It is hoped that the project will be able to find him a job and teach him to save and budget.

Because Paito's father drinks so much, Sarah and Ian (who help run the house) do not necessarily believe that it is the best idea for him to live with his father but they do want to help him at least have a relationship with him.
