Brian runs the London Marathon

Brian marathon

"Well after many weeks of preparing the Wendy House costume, the day finally arrived. I was a little apprehensive at starting with the Good For Age Fast runners dressed in a costume, but happily I wasn't the only one and all the runners were fine. I stood on the start with a guy in full fire brigade uniform. We joked if my house set on fire, he'd be able to put it out. The crowds were absolutely amazing cheering 'Come on Brian, Come on Project Moz'. Runners around me commented on the noise from the crowd as they approached me. 'You're the man' said one guy! It was nice to see the "Moz Gang" of suporters on Tower Bridge and to safety pin repairs to the house.

Running along Embankment towards the finish line is a great feeling, and to finish so high up in the rankings (27,000 runners were behind me), is really satisfying for me.
After a short interview with a guy from Spanish TV at the end, at last the costume and running shoes were off.

It was a great pleasure to run for such a worthwhile charity supported by lovely good intentioned people. Bring on Ben Nevis!"
